Is there a “butterfly effect” in business? As a global company, we think there is. That’s why Hudson is committed to corporate social responsibility.

To improve the communities we work and play in, we focus our efforts on education and career enrichment. As a natural extension of our business, we believe that helping people develop their inherent skills and gifts leads to better outcomes not only in their careers but their lives. Hudson employees routinely share their time, talent and treasure within their respective communities in a variety of ways.

Our corporate social responsibility policy is built on three pillars: employee volunteerism, corporate giving and responsible business practices. By getting actively involved in their communities, Hudson employees can effect real change on a relational level.

In France, we’ve created “Citizens Day,” a day in which employees volunteer one work day to the charity of their choice within the field of human resources. “Citizens Day” focuses on two areas:

Education: Our volunteers work with university student, high school students and students from disadvantaged areas. We provide coaching on CV and cover letter writing and on how to comport oneself in a professional work environment.

Employment: Our volunteers provide coaching and advice to those typically most affected by discrimination: iinner-city residents, the disabled, young graduates and non graduates, women, seniors, and the long-term unemployed.

Beyond that, Hudson’s French team regularly provides career and interview coaching to disadvantaged groups and charitable organistions throughout the country.

Additionally, Hudson is proud to participate in the UN Global Compact, a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. We believe in upholding the dignity of all people through working to achieve common goals of economic prosperity, environmental sustainability, social inclusion and ethical business conduct.
